Bernie has qualifications in geology and journalism and has worked in international relations, journalism and communications, policy analysis and government relations. During the last 23 years, he has specialised in policy concerning environment, sustainability, conservation, climate change and Crown minerals rights. Since October 2017 he has spent much of his time editing Inside Resources, and as a consultant, focusing on mining, quarrying, the concrete sector, and roading.
