Mike has 20 years’ experience in the minerals industry, primarily in a New Zealand quarrying context. He is an enthusiastic advocate for the quarry industry and the essential construction materials it provides.
Mike formed independent quarry consultancy Aggretech in 2015, following 10 years working for North Island quarry owners in technical and management roles. He contracts to the Aggregate and Quarry Association of New Zealand (AQA) as its technical adviser.
Mike holds a degree in mining engineering and certificate of competence as an A-Grade quarry manager.
