Wayne Brown has chaired several major public organisations, including Transpower, Vector, Kordia, Auckland DHB, Northland DHB, and the Land Transport Safety Authority. As Chair of Auckland DHB, he oversaw the delivery of the $500 million Auckland City Hospital on time and under budget.
His extensive governance experience also includes the Upper North Island Supply Chain Study, Māori Television, TVNZ, NZ RailCorp, and CableTalk. He previously served two terms as Mayor of the Far North District Council.
Re-elected as Mayor of Auckland in 2025, Wayne is focused on strengthening the city’s physical and financial resilience while advancing his vision for an efficient, green city that is open for business.
