Grant Bosma

Grant Bosma joined the road contracting industry after completing a university degree in 1981. He has had roles technical support and line management for 36 years.

In 2008 an opportunity arose to join NZTA as Principal Surfacing Engineer. The role involved the provision of technical advice and forensic analysis to NZTA project and maintenance managers, the update of technical specifications and liaison with and participation in cross-industry bodies such as the National Surfacing and National Pavement technical groups.

Grant has also represented NZTA on Austroads technical groups, such as the Bituminous Surfacings Technical Group and the Asphalt Research Steering Group. He as presented at numerous conferences and seminars, many outside of New Zealand.

In 2025 Grant retired from NZTA but continues to maintain involvement in the sector providing advice and support to a range of clients.
