Commenced work in the industry in 1990 with Works Civil Construction in Gisborne, transferring to Taupo working predominantly in the field of Road Maintenance in a technical role identifying and programming maintenance works at both locations. Later moving into the role of Contract Manager for the NZTA Taupo West Road Maintenance for six years. Started work for Taupo District Council in 2003 managing all aspects of pavement renewals and reseals, a role held to this day.
