As Chief Executive, Monique is responsible for overseeing Council’s day to day operations, implementing its policies and strategic direction, and is employed by and reports directly to the Elected Council. This ensures accountability and alignment with community priorities.
Monique’s focus is on delivering results, embedding improvements, and fulfilling commitments outlined in the Long Term Plan. This is done in alignment with a set of Council priorities and key actions summarised in the Council Direction Setting 2025-2028 and guided by the overarching vision expressed through our community outcomes and the Horowhenua 2040 Blueprint.
