Danny Wyatt

Senior civil materials testing and laboratory leader with 30 years in the civil engineering industry, including 27 years working in IANZ-accredited mechanical laboratories and more than two decades as an IANZ signatory and laboratory manager. Experienced in managing IANZ-accredited laboratories, quality systems, civil materials testing, pavements, earthworks, quarry laboratory operations, site laboratories, engineering geology inputs, and construction compliance.

Danny has held senior leadership and quality responsibilities across multiple laboratories and large transport infrastructure programmes, including Waikato Expressway, Kapiti Coast Expressway and other NZTA highway works. He has managed civil earthworks and road construction testing operations, supervised and trained laboratory teams, and supported major projects and large quarries through laboratory establishment, testing management, technical review, quality assurance and client-focused delivery.

He is Immediate Past Chair of CETANZ (after presiding as Chair for 10 years), a member of the National Pavement Technical Group and the NZ Geotechnical Society, and has extensive experience working with industry bodies, accredited laboratories and project teams to improve technical practice and testing quality.
