Paul has over 30 years’ experience in finance and industrial relations in both Australia and New Zealand, in both the private and public sectors. He is a fellow with the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
Current Paul leads the council’s finance. legal and commercial teams at Tauranga City Council having worked in local government for the last 20 years. He has been extensively involved with the long-term planning for the city and looking at new and innovative ways to finance and fund infrastructure.
In recent years Paul has implemented the first off balance sheet financing transaction for transport projects in Tauranga using the recent Infrastructure Funding and Financing Legislation and has been working on the development of a City/Regional deal for the Western Bay of Plenty.
