In Simon’s role as Strategic Asset Engineer for Fulton Hogan, he has developed unsealed roads management strategies, asset management plans, and best practice guidelines for the unsealed road practitioners. This work has included local authority, forestry and Department of Conversation (DoC) Clients.
In particular, Simon has led the development of Fulton Hogan’s best practice guideline on the Grading and Maintenance of Unsealed Roads. This guideline is used as both a training aid and as a Work Instruction.
Simon is the current Chair for the NZ Chapter of Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA), and was a member of the committee that organised the recent Low Volume Roads Workshop in Christchurch.
